Our Artsmark Award

Fantastic news, Flintham has been awarded the Artsmark Silver Award! This is a great achievement for a small school. Thank you so much Mrs Smith for all your hard work in gathering evidence, arranging whole school Art Days and submitting our evidence.
The letter we received stated:

Flintham School has made a good start to its Artsmark journey and has clear ambitions to embed the developments made so far. The year has seen an increase in arts provision, through stand alone specialist provision (such as drama and dance) and through a topic based approach to curriculum planning which contains enrichment stimuli for each subject, most of which incorporate the arts.

Congratulations on your Artsmark Silver Award!

As a Silver Artsmark school Arts Council England celebrates your commitment to arts and cultural education and the opportunities emerging across your provision. Your children and young people are offered equal opportunity to participate in a diverse range of arts and cultural experiences and you recognise the importance of development opportunities for your staff in these areas.

You understand the value of working with arts and cultural organisations and are developing partnerships to enhance your provision. Your children and young people have an opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of arts and culture and you are working to build on the foundations of your provision.

Well done to all the children and staff at FPS!
