Parental Survey Dec 2018

Our latest whole school Parent Survey was carried out at the end of the Autumn Term 2018. A
big thank you to all those families who completed the form. It is essential to us that we consult
parents on a range of issues.

The views of parents and carers are important in helping us offer the best possible service, and in helping to shape the future direction of the school. We have now analysed the results and it is terrific to see so many positive comments from parents and carers regarding Flintham Primary School and the results give us much to celebrate. The results show overwhelmingly that school is a safe, positive and happy place for children to learn and grow.

From the 17 questions asked, 14 achieved a result of 96% to 100% (4% represents one family)
either strongly agreeing or agreeing that :

    • children are happy at and enjoy coming to school
    • children feel safe in school/ school deals effectively with bullying
    • children taught well/ well looked after
    • newsletters /all other forms of communication helpful and informative
    • parents receive valuable information concerning children’s progress
    • school responds well to concerns raised
    • school is well led and managed
    • children are well behaved
    • parents would recommend the school to another parent

Areas achieving less than 96-100%:

    • Appropriate amount of homework (89%) – 3 parents disagree
    • Range of afterschool activities (86%) – 2 parents disagree
    • Governors are a visible part of the school team (64%) – 5 parents disagree

As a staff we always strive to improve and we will be looking at the areas where we scored less
than 96% – 100%
