At Flintham, our aim is to enable the whole child to develop not only essential and aspirational academic skills but also life skills through our extensive and wide-ranging curriculum.
We believe children need to be able to work both independently and co-operatively to achieve a goal, whilst developing resilience and empathy. There is an emphasis on making use of the rich range of resources available to us in the local area and beyond, as we believe these first-hand experiences help to develop lively and enquiring minds and deepen understanding.
Our school is located in a small rural village with a big spirit of community. On joining our school children quickly become part of our special community and that of the village. As a small school there is a caring, family atmosphere. Staff and governors are committed to providing high quality learning opportunities alongside high expectations of behavior and consideration and respect for other people and their beliefs.
Every child matters in our school and parents and carers have a vital role in the education of their children and we actively encourage close co-operation between home and school.
