Air Class includes children in Year 1 and Year 2 (Key Stage One)

PE Days
PE in Air Class will be on Tuesday and Thursday. Please send your child into school wearing their PE kit on these days.
Knowledge Organisers
A knowledge organiser is a document that contains key facts and information that children need to have a basic knowledge and understanding of a topic. It is used in the classroom to teach and review key knowledge. Knowledge organisers are a key part of helping children know and remember more.
Our knowledge organisers include:
- essential knowledge about a topic or concept, usually laid out in easily digestible chunks
- key vocabulary or technical terms and their meanings associated with the key concept or topic
- quality images such as maps, diagrams and photographs
- features such as a timeline
Every half-term, we will send the relevant Knowledge Organisers home linked to the topic we are studying. Please see below for the most recent knowledge organisers.

Half Termly Parent Letter
Every half term, we will send home a parent letter with any additional information your teacher feels that you might need to know e.g. key dates or enrichment opportunities. Please see below for the most recent parent letters.
Class Activities
We had a fun day completing different activities linked to the book ‘The Tunnel’ by Anthony Browne.
The Tunnel
We looked at the illustrations in the book and tried to spot all the clues to different fairy tales. Then we thought about the characters of Rose and Jack and wrote questions to ask them. We ‘hot seated’ the characters to answer the questions and took it in turns to be Rose or Jack. Then we drew a storyboard to show Jack’s side of the store,y after some role play to act it out. In the afternoon, we built our own tunnels and drew our own versions of the pictures.
